Our Commitment to Child Safety and Wellbing

Every child deserves to feel safe, supported and heard.

At Centacare FNQ, the safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a shared responsibility and an important part of everything we do.

Across our early learning services, counselling, community programs and family support services, we work with children, young people and families every day. We are committed to creating environments where children feel safe, are treated with dignity and respect, and have their voices heard.

We believe every child has the right to feel safe, be included and participate in decisions that affect them.

Our Commitment to Child Safety

Centacare FNQ is committed to providing safe, welcoming and inclusive environments for all children and young people.

Our approach to child safeguarding is guided by Queensland’s Child Safe Standards and our organisational values.

Child safeguarding is not simply about meeting legal requirements. It is about building a culture where everyone understands their responsibility to protect children and young people.

Our Statement of Commitment

Our Statement of Commitment to Child Safeguarding and Wellbeing outlines how we work to protect children and young people across our services.

We recognise that information about child safety should be accessible to everyone.

Our Statement of Commitment is available in four versions, allowing children, families, clients and community members to access information in a way that works for them.
